Banking Characters

“Banking” (or recruiting to the bank slot) is a special mechanic in Galaxy that allows you to recruit a character from the shop without placing it on your board. By dragging a character from the shop up to the bank slot in the top-left, you fully recruit the character, but it does not participate in fights.

Notes

• Banking a character triggers all of its recruit abilities, including any drawbacks (looking at you, Prince Charming, the Heartbreaker!).
• Banking a bronze character counts as finding your first copy. The next time you see that character in the shop, it will be silver.
• Banking a silver character will trigger its inherent Bonus Shop, and the next time you see that character in the shop, it will be golden.
• Banking a golden character will trigger its inherent Treasure Shop, and the card will be removed from the card pool.
• You cannot bank a character from the shop until you have filled up your board.
• Quest characters must be on your board to make quest progress and complete their quests.
• Banking a quest character from the shop without a copy on your board will not trigger its own quest.
