Buffs
A unique aspect of Galaxy is that buffs are permanent. This means that once a character gains a buff, it keeps that buff for the rest of the game. The buff will apply in all future fights, and even future copies of that character (such as Silvers or Goldens) will naturally show that buff when they appear in the shop.
Notes
- If you manage to buff a character during a fight, it will keep those buffs when you return to the shop.
- If you summon a character during a fight and manage to buff the summon, like
Goodie Bag , that character will retain the buff. If you summon it again in a future fight or see it in the shop, it will still have that buff. - If you transform a character into a new one, the new character retains all the buffs from the original.
- Buffs to abilities are also permanent and carried through transformations. For example: If you have a
Snow Ball and buff its +1/+1 ability up to +6/+6, then transform it into aFrankenstein , the new Frankenstein’s ability will now read as +7/+7 instead of +2/+2. - Slot buffs are also permanent to your board, but since they are tied to the slot and not the character, they do not travel with the character.
- Support is an ability that is dynamically calculated on the fly and is not considered a “buff" in this sense. Support bonuses are not permanent.
Auras
- Some abilities on cards are worded in a way where the card needs to be on your board in order to be providing the buff.
- Since these effects are constantly checking, if the condition is changed or the character removed, those effects will no longer apply. These are not considered permanent buffs like most buffs in Galaxy.
- For example -
Moonshadow grants your other support characters Ranged. Once Moonshadow has been KO'd, those characters no longer will have Ranged.
