Slot Buffs

Sometimes you may wish you could buff one of your characters, but want the buff to stick around even after swapping them out. That’s where Slot Buffs come in.

Some effects (such as Presence of Gaia) will specifically buff a "slot" on your board. This means the buff applies to one of your five board positions, not to the character itself. The buff stays on that slot no matter which character moves into it.

Notes

• You can pick up a character during your turn to quickly see which slot buffs are affecting that slot.
• If a slot currently has a slot buff, you’ll see a subtle green splat icon under the stats.
• If a targeted spell targets a slot, it also counts as targeting the character currently there (this matters for effects like Ironcast Dragon).
